Nerve Hooks is an Inland Empire-based alt/punk band founded in 2024.Their music is vulnerable, fast, and heavy with surprising finesse. Nerve Hooks plays an invigorating set of new-meet-old punk rock sensibility and modern urgency.
The band’s first offering, Trust EP, was released in summer 2024 and showcases muscular old-school guitar riffs along with innovative song structures and lyricism. Standout tracks “Andabel” and “Pulling Teeth” have become crowd-favorites at concerts. Nerve Hooks has also released a live EP called ¡Vivo! En Temecula which features songs from Trust, older compositions, and a hardcore cover of Agent Orange’s “Bloodstains”.
Following Trust, Nerve Hooks spent the latter half of 2024 and the beginning of 2025 touring SoCal, playing notable shows at The Viper Room, The Cat’s Crawl, Temecula Sports Lounge, and DBA256. Their breakthrough song came in the form of “Dirt Nap”, released in October 2024. Dirt Nap is a pummeling alt/punk crossover that features a singalong breakdown a la Metallica’s “Creeping Death”. Often a concert closer, “Dirt Nap” has proven to be anthemic for the band and their fans as they continue to establish their presence in the SoCal alternative music scene.
Nerve Hooks is Owen, Josh, Danny, and Fiona.
